NAMI Walks – Urban Hike Wrap Up

It was a glorious day in Golden Gate park where approximately 2500 friends, family and concerned citizens pulled together to raise over $300,000 to benefits families and individuals dealing with Mental Illness… It was fun, entertaining, and showed the strength of the community’s commitment to support people battling, understanding and conquering emotional and mental struggles…
Among a canopy of trees, tranquil ponds, we were lead on this 5k walk lead by Irish Pipers… Over 160 teams pulled together to witness the strength of those affected and those dedicated to provide resources to this great cause. The Walkers of Hope team raised funds where 90% of the proceeds raised will directly benefit Solano County recipients.
A beautiful cause, a great hike, and good fellowship… Wonderful way to make a difference in someone’s life…
